Turning Patent Identified Shopper Activity Into Measurable Sales Outcomes
The Challenge
Stellantis dealers needed a more connected way to identify shoppers who were actively engaging with their brands and understand whether digital advertising was ultimately influencing vehicle sales.
Traditional campaign reporting can show impressions, clicks, and leads, but those metrics do not always provide a clear view of what happened after a shopper interacted with advertising. Stellantis and Stream Companies partnered to bridge that gap by connecting first-party shopper data with media activation and sales measurement.
The Solution
Beginning in 2022, Stream Companies installed the patented technology across Stellantis Tier 3 dealer sites. The partnership expanded in Q4 2025 with patented technology installations across Tier 1 sites, creating a broader foundation for identifying and activating Stellantis shoppers across participating dealerships.
The technology helps identify active shoppers based on their interactions with participating dealer websites. These audiences can then be activated through targeted advertising, while downstream sales data can be matched back to the shoppers reached by the program.
This creates a connected measurement framework that helps Stellantis and its dealers move beyond media delivery metrics to understand the relationship between digital advertising and actual vehicle sales.
The Results
The partnership has created a scalable audience and measurement ecosystem across participating Stellantis dealers.
31,543 Households
Were identified as active Stellantis shoppers in a recent month and available for audience activation.
7,520 Influenced Sales
Were reported across Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, and Dodge in a recent month across the participating business centers represented in the program.
The program provides a path from website activity to audience activation to verified sales measurement, giving Stellantis and participating dealers greater visibility into the impact of their advertising.
The patented technology infrastructure has supported the program across dealer tiers for several years, allowing the partnership to expand its use of first-party shopper data and sales measurement over time.
The Impact
The Stellantis and Stream Companies partnership demonstrates how first-party shopper data can connect the full advertising journey.
Rather than stopping at impressions, clicks, or leads, the program provides a framework for identifying in-market households, reaching them with relevant advertising, and connecting those audiences to downstream vehicle sales.
For Stellantis and its dealers, this creates a more measurable approach to digital advertising, with shopper data and verified sales helping inform how audiences are activated and how campaign impact is evaluated.
