Malvern, PA – Stream Companies, one of the fastest growing integrated advertising agencies in the greater Philadelphia area, announced today that L. Robert (Bob) Weissman has joined the agency as Vice President. Mr. Weissman is well known in the Philadelphia agency community and has served as a business consultant to more than 45 regional and national agencies. In his new role with Stream, he will be responsible for growing the agency’s practice in the Mid-Atlantic region and attracting talent to expand the company’s ever-growing client base.
“Bob Weissman is one of the most well-respected and experienced leaders in the advertising world and we are thrilled to have him on our team,” said David Regn, co-founder of Stream Companies. “He has the skills, expertise, and insights to help us make Stream the leading agency in Philadelphia and beyond. Our clients will certainly benefit, our team is on board, and the community can look for big things from us this year.”
Prior to joining Stream, Mr. Weissman founded and ran Agency Ventures where he focused on helping traditional advertising agencies and digital agencies grow strategically. He leveraged his experience to support the growth of early stage and mid-sized companies managing all business functions including: business development, operations, legal, business metrics and unit management, venture capital funding, mergers and acquisitions, and finance. He has worked closely with Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP) in Northeast Pennsylvania, consulting and developing business plans for emerging companies seeking financing.
Before leading his own consulting practice, Mr. Weissman was the COO at Frontier Media Group, which was acquired by Icon CMT and then Qwest Communications. He served as an EVP at Qwest Communications until he led a management buyout of the online pharmaceutical marketing practice, which became Cadient, Inc. There, he grew the business to more than $10 million and acquired InterMedia Interactive in 2003, expanding that business by opening an office in India. Other positions he’s held over his extensive career include President at Millennium Media Group, President at Context Systems, Vice President at Javelin Software, and National Sales Manager at Software Arts, Inc. Mr. Weissman earned his MBA at Northeastern University and a BS from Springfield College. He currently resides with his family in Rosemont, PA.
“I have had the good opportunity to consult with Stream over the years, and I see them as a major player in both the auto dealer market and the Greater Philadelphia business community,” said Mr. Weissman. “As such, I decided to join Dave and Jason in building Stream into the premier advertising agency in Philadelphia. They have successfully built an agency with a focus on driving results – tying advertising and marketing to economics.”
